State & International Representatives

State & International Representatives(Reps) play a key role in connecting members with EAA leadership and supporting our mission. Reps are encouraged to attend at least four meetings a year, stay active in EAA, and help spread the word about our goals, events, and resources. Whether sharing EAA materials at state conferences or proposing new ideas for the Board, Reps make an impact. The position offers the chance to develop leadership skills and collaborate on exciting projects. Serve for a year with the option to continue, or pass the torch to someone new. Roles & Responsibilities:

  • Will be overseen by the President Elect
    • President Elect will schedule at least 4 meetings a year
  • Maintain a current membership in the Educational Audiology Association 
  • Are encouraged to attend as many meetings as their schedule allows
    • If unable to attend a meeting, encouraged to look over the meeting agenda/minutes.
  • Serve as a communication link between EAA’s leadership, EAA’s membership, and prospective members
  • Support and promote EAA’s mission, goals, strategic plan, scholarly publications, and online communications (e.g. website, listserv, social media, pop-up stores, etc.)
  • Promote membership and advocacy to current and potential members of EAA.
    • Provide and share of EAA materials/announcements at state meetings/ conferences, when appropriate
  • Propose topics for discussion/call to action for the Board and/or membership to consider.
  • Participate in activities and/or projects the groups is working on

Term:

  • Encourage to serve a full year with the option to continue 
  • Position can be offered to another at the completion of the year 
    • If current rep knows of an interested individual they should pass contact information onto the President Elect
  • A state or region can have more than one active rep
  • Notify the President Elect when you can no longer fill the role as rep
